Manchester United caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be without 10 players for Wednesday night’s Premier League clash at Crystal Palace.

Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard were forced off during the first half of Sunday’s goalless draw against Liverpool – a match Anthony Martial, Phil Jones and Nemanja Matic were ruled out of in the build-up.

Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian continue to miss out, Phil Jones is recovering from illness, while Marcus Rashford’s ankle issue will need to be assessed.

Teenager Mason Greenwood would have come in had he not been injured in recent weeks, but Tahith Chong, James Garner and Angel Gomes will be involved and Marcos Rojo returns.

“We’ll have a good team out on the pitch definitely,” former United striker Solskjaer said.

“There’ll be a chance for others. I’ve been sat on the outside getting a chance when this had happened.

“The players who came in (against Liverpool), Scott (McTominay) and Andy [Andreas Pereira], I thought they did fantastic.

“There you go, that’s the way it is. You’ve just got to be ready when you get it.”

Predicted line-up: De Gea; Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw; Fred, Pogba, McTominay; Pereira, Lukaku, Sanchez

Provisional squad: De Gea, Romero, Grant, Dalot, Young, Shaw, Bailly, Rojo, Smalling, Lindelof, Fred, McTominay, Gomes, Garner, Pereira, Pogba, Chong, Lingard*, Sanchez, Lukaku, Rashford*.
